An Studio is founded by Aytül Özkan in March 2022 in İstanbul. She graduated from Middle East
Technical University(METU) Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture in 2006, and
initiated her professional practices at PD Architecture Engineering Limited Co. Subsequently, she worked as design office coordinator at Kartallar Group Co. Throughout this period, Aytül participated in diverse large-scale projects including shopping malls, offices, hospitals, hotels, and residential blocks as project director and then as principle architect. Between 2010 and 2012, she carried on architectural research in Seattle, USA, focusing specifically on the transformation of the library space in digital age. As a result of these studies, she received her M.Arch degree in 2013 from METU Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. Between the years of 2012 to 2017, besides taking part as partner and principle at Yüncü & Özkan Architects, she founded  Aytül Özkan Architects in 2014 which eventually evolved in An Architectural Studio. During this period, she had the chance to experience different phases of architectural projects.
The experience gained is not only in design and drafting phases but also in consultancy, site controland supervision, working as sub-contractor, and skills of management throughout this period.As a practicing architect, Aytül has several awards in national and international architectural designcompetitions. Also, she had given architectural drawing and drafting, and design lectures as Part-time instructor at Bilkent University Faculty of Art, Design,and Architecture in Ankara. She lived inThe Hague in Netherlands for two years from July 2017 till September 2019. She continues to produce diverse projects in İstanbul.
